I use this for N scale locomotives on Atlas Code 55 track. I like to break in the engines for a few hours with DC before putting the DCC decoder in.
Smooth operation and it does not get hot. For the price, you can't beat it.

The Athearn 9997 power pack is a no frills, but reliable power pack. I'm using it on a small N-scale layout and it has worked flawlessly. It is well constructed. I'm very pleased.

The train pack does all it claims and more. Not loaded with features but good for any Zscale layout. Great value !!
