Built by the Pennsylvania Railroad in the early Twentieth Century, the K4 4-6-2 Pacifics went through numerous modifications and improvements during their many years of service. The Spectrum Pre-War K4 models, based on a World War I-era prototype, feature distinctive "chicken coop" slat pilots, while the Post-War versions are equipped with modern pilots.

PRR 3750, one of two surviving PRR K$s Pacifics February 19, 2011

This model of Pennsylvania Railroad 3750 is a very unique model. The real PRR 3750 is preserved at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg, PA. It is very stunning to the real thing and I just happen to own its sister locomotive Pennsylvania Railroad K4s Pacific 1361 that is in Altoona, PA. This a real nice locomotive to have in my growing collection of steam locomotives in my model railroad.
