Plastic kit
GS class 40' gondolas where the first all-steel gondolas on the Pennsylvania Railroad. Introduced around 1902 (lasting until early 1950s), they were built in several different configurations. Our car represents class GSa from 1902 but having cast trucks and other equipment from 1930. Pennsy had more than 32,000 GS, GSa, GSb, GSc, GSd, GSf, GSg, GSh and GSx. Paint and lettering will be various schemes from PRR, StLV&TH (Vandalia), TWV& ORR, E&PRR, GR&I, AVR, PO Coal, Westmoreland, Susquehanna Coal and possibly others.
Shadow Keystone lettering was applied starting in June 1954
