SDH164K1B January 20, 2012
Reviewer: Anonymous Person
Very poor quality, does not have as many features as MRC sounder.  Installed in atlas GP38-2 has a buzzing sound and no shut down sequence, and all of the problems the others mentioned. for the price MRC is the better decoder.  ( except for the MRC 1905, I have one I removed from the atlas gp38-2, will sell cheap).

disapointed December 3, 2011
Reviewer: David Cantlin from Tacoms, WA
Bought this from MTS and got it quickly as always. Just put it in one of my kato SD-38's today. Very easy to install but was VERY disapointed with the sound quality. Sounds very muffled and separate features were hard to pick out. My son in law has 2 SD-40's kato with mrc sound and it is much better and sharper. I have a Proto with qsi and it is also better. I was told Digitrax was tops, but have not found that to be the case.
