Description
Track tool: use with a standard razor saw to produce square cut in flex track on straightaways and curves without tie separation; or the tool will help to locate misaligned rail joints; also straightens used flex track in seconds. Procedure for using the tool: Snap tool on track, use edge for straight edge cut. Slide tool along track while spiking track down, or straighten track by pulling track through tool.
Soldering tool: Tool snaps on rails, holding them in alignment while soldering. Also acts as a heat sink. Procedure for using the tool: Place tool on rails so the openings are over rail joints. Solder outside edge of rails. If insulators are used, spike rails down instead of soldering.
Ballast spreader tool: Offers a quick and easy way to ballast track. The tool applies ballast on both sides of the rail, along with a nice even layer between the rails. Fully adjustable for heavy or light flow. Procedure for use: Set spreader on track with bottom indicator facing in the direction you are going to ballast. Twist tube right or left until holes close. Fill tube with ballast, align bottom and top indicator dots and slide spreader along track, moving slowly until you become accustomed to the speed ballast comes out. When you reach a place you want to stop, turn spreader 1/4 turn to the left or right. To remove spreader from track, lift tool by bottom ring.
Parallel tool: This tool will facilitate maintaining uniform spacing
on straightaways and curves while laying parallel tracks. Procedure for use: Place tool on stationary track. Set second track in remaining slot and slide tool along tracks. Tool will set the correct distance from the first track while securing the second in place.
