I have been very impressed with the simplicity of these little decoders. Also very good value for money, four decorders in one basically. The latching ability is probably the one key function that I have been looking for in an accessory decoder, mainly to turn LEDs (signals, lighting, etc) and slow-motion point motors on and off. The other two functions are the usual flashing and twin-coil point motor activation modes. Two things could be improved by MRC; one is improving the layout & wording of the instructions as they are a bit over the place, and two, the mounting hole. This very little hole is in the middle of the board rather than at the edge, and if moved to the edge there should be two. Secondly it is rather small (2-3 mm dia). I have to use a spacer between the board and the mounting location so that the underside circuitry of the board is protected. All in all, a good little unit once you get your head around the instructions and learn the basics of its programming.
