All functions of this transformer worked perfectly. You can realistically increase or decrease your speed without any engine hesitation. Well worth the money, especially while on sale.

In less than 1 hours operating this equipment the control knob towards the disabled and the speed control lever has lost the function. And I'm in Brazil! What do I do now?

I fixed up my father-in-law's trainset, and this throttlepack replaced the Lionel 1950s era 35 watt power pack. I like the added feature of being able to use a bell and whistle/horn on a conventional locomotive equipped with such.
My first throttle pack was from MRC years ago when I had my first HO layout. My old pack is more than 30 years old, and still works well.

This is a fantastic power source! It provides the perfect very low voltages needed by my Atlas Industrial Rail Trolley. I had ordered an MRC AH600, but found it ran the trolley at only one speed, which was about 70 scale MPH! Nothing slower! So the kind folks at MTS made the exchange, and I am happy. The AH600 jumps from zero to seven volts immediately because it's made to power advanced sound systems found in many new engines. Classic Toy Trains magazine said my trolley had a minumum speed of 12 MPH. I am getting an even slower speed with the 1301, perfect for a small electric railroad which wants to avoid lawsuits resulting from whiplash among its O scale passengers! Get this transformer if you want extremely realistic low speeds on a toy train layout. I would imagine it would have no trouble powering the big sound system engines, too, because I am using only the beginning of the throttle's huge range. Wonderful!
