I bought one of these to go with my PowerCab system, so my friend and I could both run trains at the same time. I like the encoder throttle and that it is capable of 28 functions. The LED screen is an invaluable feature, as it lets you know what locomotive you are controlling, what direction you will be moving in, and what function mode you're in (0-9, 10-19, 20-28). Great value for your money.
