This box car red 40' drop bottom gondola has large white "SOO LINE"
lettering with white stenciling and runs on black Bettendorf trucks.
Built in June 1953, this is one of 100 odd-numbered cars in series
67201-67399. A few of these hard working cars survived into the 1980s.
Many cars from this series were used for wood products and operated
between paper mills in Wisconsin.

These 40’ drop bottom gondolas are painted black with large silver lettering, silver stenciling and runs on black Barber®
roller bearing trucks. This is one of 300 gondolas used by the Western Pacific for hauling anything from coal or pipe to sugar
beets. Sometime between 1928 and 1930 they were upgraded with new steel doors and ends. Although these general service
cars worked hard for decades, many survived well into the 1970s.

These 40’ drop bottom gondolas are painted black with white logos and lettering. They were built by Pressed Steel Car Company in November 1936, serviced
in July 1964 and run on Bettendorf trucks. These tough drop bottom cars were more versatile than the open hoppers or solid bottom gondolas. They were seen
well into the 1970s, even after the NP merger with Burlington Northern.
