Lionel trains have endured for almost 100 years. Why? For the answer, Tom McComas visited a number of Lionel layouts and talked with the builders. Each told a storey filled with nostalgia, tips and great train action.

Boyd Manson's Hazlet Train Shop & Museum - Boyd is one of the most knowledgeable and colorful collector's in the country. He operates both Postwar and Modern Lionel and his layout features four mainline and an operating centenary system.

Stu Shuster, Birmingham, MI - Action includes a Pride Lines UP M 10,000 and Lionel classics like the 763 Hudson, 0-6-0 switcher, 225 steamers and more - all controlled by Magic Electrol, just like they were in the 30's.
