Realistic Crossing Gates with Provisions for Automation

Protect busy steam-era streets with these authentic crossing gates! Commonly used all over North America, the prototypes were pneumatically controlled by a watchman stationed in nearby crossing shanties. In bigger cities, several gates were operated by a watchman, often from an elevated crossing/gateman's tower (sold separately) to give a better view of approaching trains and automobiles.

The models come fully assembled and feature moving parts, so they can be displayed in either the up or down position, or adapted to any drive system to automate their operation. (Drive and detection systems are sold separately.)

Gates needed for my grade crossing	January 28, 2013

These crossing gates would come in handy when cars stop at the grade crossing for when a train comes. It is better to be safe than sorry. Just remember, A Second Glance Is Your Living Chance. That quote came off one of those Operation Lifesaver Cabooses that were made by AHM back in the 1980's.
