From the time the Sierra Railroad first launched its "Supper Chief" in the 1970s to today's many special runs, dinner trains take passengers back to the days of fine dining on the rails. For rail enthusiasts the attraction of dinner trains is their restored vintage equipment. For couples it's a chance to dine in a romantic setting as the train rolls along. The station is where dinner excursions originate. Many trains use their station as a staging/prep area for meals as well as a ticket office and some use it as their restaurant.

Walthers Dinner Belle Train & Restaurant is your opportunity to run classy, detailed passenger equipment on your modern-era mainlines and branch lines.

Take riders back in time with three classic cars in the same colorful scheme as this loco, that you can mix and match for a custom consist: ACF 48-Seat Diner (#932-9543), ACF Dome Diner (#932-9593) and a P-S 64-Seat Diner (#932-9443), each sold separately. The cars are ready for operation with factory-installed grab irons, Proto MAX(TM) metal knuckle couplers and RP-25 metal wheels. Loco is equipped with 14:1 gear ratio, helical gears, 5-pole skew-wound motor, painted metal grab irons, working headlight, dual mode QSI sound and many fine details.
