On my new layout, I needed to build an incline to get me somewhere over 3.5 inches high. I had been obsessing about how, working through many of the options such as, cutting and elevating platforms out of MDF, using the cheap plastic risers you find in some kits, etc. The issue is the foam table-tops I have, and how to attach things to it.
Then I found this woodland scenic product. This stuff is great! It has let me build my inclines already (and track is set. Its cut so that you can steer it in any direction....perfect in my case as this same incline includes a long curve. I had that part of the scene built, tracked, wired and was running trains within an hour (just long enough for the glue to dry)!
I'll do this again on the other half of the layout!
