Marklin Z 88035 2-6-0 Steam Locomotive with Tender
These GP9 powered locomotives are painted green with yellow bands and yellow and green lettering.
They were built in May 1957 by Electro-Motive Division of General Motors as part of six-loco build #7540 for
Minneapolis St. Louis, which was merged into CNW on November 1, 1960. CNW 604 and 608 were renumbered in
1972 to 4305 and 4309 respectively
These GP9 powered locomotives are painted ATSF blue with yellow logo, sill and ends. Lettering is yellow on the
sides with blue logo on the ends. Built in May of 1965 by Electro Motive Division of General Motors as part of the
six-loco build for ATSF, these locos first wore blue and yellow paint schemes. They were repainted and renumbered
into this scheme in late 1969 to early 1970, then painted into this scheme which it wore until the late 1970s.

Marklin Z 88490 GG-1 Pennsylvania #4935 Marklin Z 88321 Triple Unit Diesel Locomotive with Caboose PRR #9794, #9807 These F7 A unit powered locomotive is painted dark gray with the SP red “Bloody Nose” paint scheme and lettered
in white. The F7 B unit dummy locomotive is also painted dark gray and lettered in white. They were built in
February of 1953. These units stayed with the SP for their entire working life. In 1959, SP standardized with a
paint scheme of dark grey, white lettering and a red “winged” nose. This scheme was dubbed “Bloody Nose” by
railfans. It was replaced in the mid 1980s by the “Kodachrome” paint scheme.
Electro Motive Division built these GP-35 locomotives, road numbers 727 and 731, in May of 1965 on builder #30130 for the Soo Line

This dummy F-7 B
unit locomotive is painted black with wide gray side stripes and narrow
white stripes. The roof, grills and tanks are black. The EMD F7 was a
1,500 hp B-B freight-hauling diesel locomotive produced between
February 1949 and December 1953 by General Motors’ Electro-Motive
Division. Final assembly was at GM-EMD’s La Grange, Illinois plant. A
total of 2,366 cab-equipped lead A units and 1,483 cabless booster B
units were built.
This dummy F-7 B
unit locomotive is painted black with orange stripes and the black “The
Milwaukee Road” lettering. The roof, grills and tanks are also painted
black. The EMD F7 was a 1,500 hp B-B freight-hauling diesel locomotive

the line until its completion some five years later, October 10, 1852.
This date is now considered the Rock Island’s birthday.

The EMD GP9 is a 4-axle diesel locomotive built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division between January 1954 and August 1963. One of four EMDs built as part of EMD order 5560 in September of 1958 for the Northern Pacific, GP9 (373/374) became BN (1952/1953) after the Burlington Northern merger.

These black and red GP9s have white diagonal stripes on their sides with yellow refl ectors and “wet noodle” logo on front and rear ends. The GMD GP9 is a 4-axle diesel locomotive built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division between January 1954 and August 1963. General Motors Diesel, Ltd., was created in 1949 as the Canadian subsidiary of the Electro-Motive Division of General Motors located in the United States. Tariffs protected Canadian manufacturers against imported goods, thus many companies wanting to do business in Canada set up controlled or wholly-owned subsidiaries in Canada.
