Bangor & Aroostook Road Number BAR 501 This blue 50’ standard box car with plug door and no roofwalk has an aluminum roof, black, white & blue Fraser Paper logo and runs on black Barber® roller bearing trucks with blue draft gear lids. By the early 1900’s, the BAR served the localities of Patten, Limestone, Ashland, Van Buren, and Searsport. The primary source of traffic for the BAR is, of course, the pulp and paper industry.

Canadian Pacific Road Number CP 165181 This “Action Yellow” 40’ box car with plug door, no roofwalk and tall ladders has a white and black “Multimark” logo, black lettering and runs on black Bettendorf trucks. In June 1968, Canadian Pacific introduced a new corporate image for their entire company. Freight cars were painted in solid colors by type: ‘Action Yellow’ for insulated cars and caabooses; ‘Action Green’ for newsprint; ‘Action Red’ for general merchandise box cars, gondolas and flat cars and ‘Action Silver’ for refrigerator cars. The uniquely designed “Multimark” consisted of a circle segment and a triangle. In 1988, CP Rail stopped applying the Multimark when repainting freight cars.
