Description

Big Power...30VA gets you going ammeter and voltmeter put you in control

Runs HO, N, TT, Z and other DC Scales. Meters monitor your layout to optimize railroad performance. They can tell you what's happening. For instance, if the meter indicates your loco is drawing too much, maybe you should lubricate the gears to overcome friction before it overheats. Or both ammeter and voltmeter flutter, a sure sign of intermittent contact...clean the track. High current and low voltage appear at the same time...maybe theres a short somewhere. The 9500 puts you in control.

A great transformer October 7, 2009
Reviewer: Patricia Zottoli from Gainesville, GA United States
If you ever wanted to run multiple heavy engines, be it Athearn, Atlas, Bachman or whatever, this is the one that can do it and with ease I might add.. I have an HO layout and using these transformers (I have two of them)  I have run up to five powered engines (3 Athearn and 2 Atlas Gp 38s) or 4 Athearn (SD40s) together ( not to mention all the cars along with them)  and have never had any problem at all.  No sluggishness either. I means it's very smooth. Also, neither the transformers nor the engines have ever got hot either. Best of all if there's anything wrong with either the track or the engines I can usually find it using the gauges on this model transformer. For me it was well worth the money they cost tto enable me to do some serious model railroading.  I mean, let's face it. I feel if my miniture railroad is going to look like  the real thing, then it should also run and work like the real thing as well. And with this model transformer, it does.
