Description   These 40’ single dome tank cars are painted black with yellow lettering and run on Bettendorf trucks. They were built in 1957 and serviced in May 1982. GATX has been synonymous with rail since 1898 when it pioneered the concept of railcar leasing. A century later, GATX has grown to be the largest tank car lessor in North America, owning or managing 160,000 railcars of all types. GATX leases railcars and locomotives to shippers and railroads.
