Description   Electro Motive Division built these GP-35 locomotives, road numbers 727 and 731, in May of 1965 on builder #30130 for the Soo Line. Number 727 was repainted in 1975 and renumbered 1776 to commemorate America’s bicentenial in 1976. Later it was renumbered back to 727. In 1986 it was conveyed to Wisconsin Central. Number 731 was also conveyed to Wisconsin Central and renumbered #2555.
