Description

The EMD GP9 is a 4-axle diesel locomotive built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division between January 1954 and August 1963. One of four EMDs built as part of EMD order 5560 in September of 1958 for the Northern Pacific, GP9 (373/374) became BN (1952/1953) after the Burlington Northern merger.
