Bachmann HO 45172 Pedestrian Bridge Snap Kit

There is no way this kit snaps together. It required glue and fixtures to build, just like kits from other companies. The instructions weren’t great either, but it was simple enough to figure it out. It is too short for an electric’s pentagraphs to clear, unless you mount it 3/4” above the track … but that’s easy. 3/4” is several feet in HO, so you need to then add steps or a ramp for realism.
In spite of all this, it’s cheap, and the finished product is nice. It will cross two parallel tracks. Mine takes pedestrians from the station side of track one to the platform side of track 2.

Did a cut and shut job on it to reduce width. Only needed to span 2 tracks.Signs and 2 strips of Evergreen strip covered any cut marks. Good little model.My Grand children like it.It was their questio to me how do the people cross the railway lines Grandad ?'

Really serves a practical purpose especially in small space situations. Good functionable model.
