Route 66 classic Meramec Caverns. Mennonite sign "At the end of the road I will meet GOD" and First National Bank. They still stand, the painted barn and wall signs of yesterday. Some have been repainted, renewed. And some are in an advanced state of decay. And sadly many are gone. A once common method of advertising is slowly slipping away as are the barns and old buildings the signs were painted on.
