Design Preservation Models HO 12100 Seymour Block Kit

Had to purchase this because of the architectural quality of the front. Will look good as a 1950's Giant Tiger Department Store which were common in Northern Ohio during the period.

I kitbashed two of these kits to make a solid block of buildings with Seymore as the left and right hand corners. The rear panels were lent to another two projects to make a 7 deep alley, replaced with styrene sheet. I modified the faces to be on the opposite side. The challenge was sanding the 45 degree diagonal panel and then keeping it straight while the glue dried. I used the roof to keep everything parallel. I painted this one in Rustoleum pebble and washed it with grey acrylic to bring out the details and brick mortar, then hand-painted the windows white for an astonishing look.
