Atlas HO 488 True-Track Starter Set

It's a starter set all right. You will need to start buying what you really need after you receive it. Re-railer and/or terminal section (for attaching wires from power pack) are NOT included, just a pair of very thin wires for attaching via track joiners. Atlas is a quality name brand, but they come up short with this offering. The track and joiners are flimsy. It gets the job done, but you can tell that things just are not what they used to be. Three stars is a higher rating than I should give it, but I should have asked before ordering or otherwise figured it out on my own. Buyer bewar rule applies here, so I'll take part of the hit.On a good note: ModelTrainStuff.com is the ONLY place that I will do business with for this hobby! What a great place! Mice product, good detail and great that it is available in Code 83.

I got this for setting up a train set on a table over the Holidays. Since it comes with a built in roadbed I could probably work under a x-mas tree too. Others have dinged this track because it's scale size and doesn't come with items toy train set track has. Me, I couldn't be happier.

Intend to install it next month

Item shipped quickly was a great price and arrived undamaged. I give a 4 star review because both of the switches will need some work to keep the cars from derailing when they cross over them. Other reviews have mentioned the same thing. Either my vintage Tyco cars are too light or there is a problem with the frog area. Otherwise track looks good and assembles easily.
