Lionel O 6-12020 FasTrack Uncoupling Track

My fault! I forgot that the uncoupling track came with a 5 straight track section. My purchase? Great service and surprisingly quick delivery!

Any layout that does switching will need several of these uncoupler tracks - one (or more) for each yard lead and industry spur which serves more than one industry. These integrate well into the rest of my FasTrack layout. The push buttons supplied with the track are clunky looking, so I have instead used miniature push buttons which can be mounted through the fascia.

I had a water leak in my train room which caused a pool to collect in the corner of the layout. After I got it fixed, I found that several pieces of FasTrack had rusted and must be replaced. I ordered the replacements from ModelTrainStuff since they have fair prices and ship quickly and accurately. The replacement parts, including the uncoupler, wit and work perfectly.One lesson from this is be careful when applying scenery NOT to get water on FasTrack sections - if they rust you;ll have to replace them.

Not too much to say about uncoupling tracks. These work well. I choose not to use the clunky push buttons Lionel provides with them; I use small normally open push buttons attached to the fascia.
