This Reading Company Standard Tower kit is based on actual drawings of the Reading Companys standard framed wooden interlocking tower. This design was created in the early 1900s (drawings are dated April 1909 and revised 1913) and replicated at several locations along the Readings line in Pennsylvannia. Towers of a similar design were also located in Haucks (HK), Lebanon (JU), Klapperthal Junction (KJ), Bethayres (NK), Phoenixville (U), Lansdale (MA), Neshaminy Falls (JG), Birdsboro (BE) and Shamokin (HV).
