Proses by Bachmann HO 39015 (BS-HO-04) Ballast Spreader with Shut-Off

Easy to use. Makes a great part of the overall scenery to the layout. Spreads nice and even and does not spray the ballast all over.

It's okay but still have tedious work before gluing the ballast.It's a little expensive for what it does.

Doesnt spread wide enough

Did not like it because it did not work well on Brachmann easy track. Thank you for letting me report my reaction to the product.

IT is very light so if you are dragging it on the tracks be sure not to give it too much force. It is not as heavy as a boxcar. Also, it dumps way too much ballast in the center of the track and not enough on the sides even with adjusting the drop spreader. You are better off using a small cup to spread and add ballast so you can direct exactly where it is going. Finally, the spreader cannot pass over electronic switches due to the width of the platform so you have to do these areas by hand anyway. The product is a good concept but does not do the trick all that well.
