Walthers Proto HO 920-42907 EMD E8A A-Unit, Pennsylvania Railroad #5805

Overall I'm pleased with this. The level of detail is just right--convincing, and reasonably thorough and close enough without making the model highly fragile . So it's just right for me. Operation is smooth and reasonably quiet (though, having bought two of these, I note one is slightly noisier than the other). Sound quality is somewhat tinny and muddy compared to what I expected. I've done my own Loksound 5 sound installs with various speakers (by ESU, Bowser, others, "sugar cube" and larger) that sound clearer than this, with somewhat better bass response. At some point I might try changing the speakers. Overall, though, I'm pleased with the purchase (at a better price than the other major online sellers).
