The Pennsylvania Railroad Class 2D-F8 50-ton freight truck was originally manufactured in the 1920s with a riveted bolster but our release represents the style introduced in the 1930s which included a cast steel bolster. This type of truck was in faithful service for more than fifty years.

These special trucks make it easier to get your freight cars back on track. When you pick up the car and hold it level and upright, the trucks swing and align themselves along the axis of the car. The conversion adds additional weight and provides a low center of gravity to aid in tracking
